All season I've been seeing on holiday decoration blogs are white deer or spray painted deer like these at Young House Love. I figured I might as well jump on the bandwagon, so I set out on a search for some deer.
Michaels Crafts? $10.
Etsy? $15 + shipping
Pottery Barn? Don't even ask.
I thought all hope was lost...until I stumbled across these little guys. Yes, they are a velvet-y fabric and hideous. Have some faith, would you? Each were just 25 cents at the thrift store down the street, and I knew with a little paint I could make them lovely...
2 more coats and my deer were bright white and lovely:
There you have it: cheap, easy, and lovely winter decorations! Actually, I like them so much..they may just become staples in the apartment...
